Coconut Oil

Summer is a great time to swap your cooking oils over to coconut oil. Actually it's not even an oil, it's a fat and just like avocado it's one of those truly delicious good for you fats that you can eat without worry or guilt. Just another of the many gifts that Mother Nature generously gives us. Not only is it delicious and healthy but it also reduces heat in the body, perfect for hot summer days and Pitta imbalances. Try using it in stir fries, baking and any other time you would reach for your sesame, olive or your preferred cooking oil. Give it a try and see what you think.
